About Big Red Studio
In 2004, Big Red Studio was opened in Shanghai by Tony Metaxas, an American who swore he'd never leave his hometown of San Francisco. That is, until he came to Shanghai in 1998 on an editorial assignment and fell in love with China at first sight. On one of his many trips back to China after his initial trip, he met his one in a billion while shopping in a store and fell in love with her at first sight too. That's when he decided to relocate here to Shanghai. Now he lives and works in the old French Concession area in Shanghai with his wife and two children.
